Author of an EC-Council penetration testing course. Has conducted security tests for fintech and travel companies in the U.S. and Europe, uncovering dozens of critical vulnerabilities. Has an in-depth understanding of proxy infrastructure—knows how anti-fraud systems analyze IP addresses and how to apply that knowledge in practice.
Residential proxies are one of the most popular tools for multi-accounting, traffic arbitrage, data scraping, and building infrastructure for AI agents. However, there are a huge number of myths and half-truths circulating about them from providers. This webinar is dedicated to addressing exactly that. Davit Hayrapetyan—an expert with eight years of experience in penetration testing and cybersecurity—breaks down how residential proxy pools actually work: where IP addresses come from, how ranges are formed, and why the same provider can sell both “clean” and blocked addresses from the same pool. Special attention is paid to the concept of a “dirty pool”: what constitutes an abuse history, how IP addresses end up on the blacklists of Spamhaus, SORBS, Barracuda, and other systems, and how this affects the performance of proxies in real-world scenarios. Pricing models are examined in detail: the GB model, the port model, and traffic shaping. Each model is analyzed in terms of the actual cost of traffic and hidden restrictions that providers do not specify in their pricing plans. A separate section is dedicated to choosing between static and rotating residential proxies for specific tasks: scraping, arbitrage, multi-accounting, and AI agents. Finally, there’s a live proxy test right on air: fraud score, geolocation, leaks, and reputation. Q&A; analysis of participants’ case studies.
